Welcome To APBioNET-Student Council
APBioNET-Student Council is the official student and early-career platform under the Asia-Pacific Bioinformatics Network (APBioNET). Designed to support students and emerging scientists in bioinformatics, computational biology, and related disciplines, we serve as a hub for learning, mentorship, and regional collaboration across the Asia-Pacific.
As a non-profit initiative, our mission is to empower students and early-career researchers by providing access to professional development opportunities, international networks, and cutting-edge knowledge in the field. We actively promote academic and industry engagement to support our members’ personal and professional growth.
Through hands-on workshops, seminars, online courses, and mentorship programs, we help students develop both technical and soft skills critical for a successful career in science. We also provide platforms to present research, receive feedback, and build confidence in scientific communication.
By fostering a supportive and inclusive community, APBioNET-Student Council helps students navigate their educational and career paths, offering guidance on research, scholarships, internships, and international opportunities. Our goal is to nurture the next generation of leaders in bioinformatics by connecting them to a dynamic and growing regional network.
As part of APBioNET, we are committed to strengthening the visibility of young scientists in the Asia-Pacific and advancing bioinformatics through collaboration, innovation, and shared knowledge.
